Of all the assisted living facilities I've ever experienced, this is by far the blessing in disguise. It hides at the far end of Gage so it's someone what of this secret diamond in the rough. From the moment I walked in everyone was so smiley, caring, and eager to help. Everything, from how incredably clean, to how all the staff just seemed so happy to be there, it all just blew me away. They genuinly want to help your loved ones. What's way neat too is their extensive activities they provide. It's just like the independant retirement homes I've seen, only with more compassion and help. I just don't know what I would have done if I hadn't found these guys. Kudos Richland Gardens, your definaitly a part of my family!
Pros: Home like atmosphere, Nurturing staff, delicious food, and TONS of stuff to do!
Cons: Not more people know about it due to it residing at the end of Gage Blvd
What great staff

I must say I have never been treated so nice. The aides are caring and patient. They really seem to love the residents in their care.
I was visiting from out of town and was with my elderly friend for a week. I observed lovely care with gentle and attentive staff. This is a place I would want to come if I needed care
Richland Gardens, a true home away from home.

The older generations can feel at home here. This is not a nursing home. It is a place where you can be free of burdens and enjoy life. They offer many activities throughout the month, especially around holidays. The decor is very quaint and the atmosphere is of home. When you walk through the double french doors you find a burning fireplace on crisp, cool days, the calm of a relaxed atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff that greet you immediately. Plump, comfy couches and chairs are located around a medium staircase that hides the elevator.
The dining hall is very large with long drapes on each of the long windows, flowers that decorate each table and french doors that lead to the outdoor patio.
The food is healthy and planned in advance. Alternatives are prepared for diet restrictions. Meals are also on a time schedule, but are always served promptly.
The hallways are kept immaculate. The decor is matching throughout.
